The 3 Best Cities in Europe

It’s that time of year again, Christmas has been and gone and the weather at home is really not nice at all. It’s the perfect time to get away for the weekend or even longer. With so many great deals out there at the moment there is no excuse not to book yourself a weekend away in one of the best cities in Europe. The first couple of months of every new year is the time when a lot of hotels offer great discounts in order to persuade people to stay. It couldn’t be easier to get away, with the super fast TGV train waiting at St Pancras station, in London, ready to whisk you off for w great break. Europe is full of fabulous cities, here are my favourite 3.

Paris

This is one of the most iconic cities in the world, people from all over the world flock here in the millions year after year. There are endless museums, galleries and breath taking sites to visit. From the Eiffel Tower to the Notre Dame, Paris truly does have it all. What makes it even more appealing is that if you get on board the Eurostar you can be there in a little over two hours, yes two hours! There’s food, wine and culture waiting for you at the end of a short train ride.

Rome

This has to be my number one city in the world. When I first went to Rome I was completely blown away by the place, it was love at first sight. If you haven’t been lucky enough to visit the coliseum then I recommend that you do it as soon as possible. I can stil remember how I was overcome by the size of it when I first walked in, I just stood there in amazement. Put the sights together with some of the best food in the world then you have the ideal place for a quick weekend break.

Amsterdam

Some might here Amsterdam and think of the wild party seen that is often talked of and yes you can go there to enjoy a great weekend of partying, but I prefer to do is take in all of the history and architecture. There is nothing better that walking around admiring this fabulous city, stopping in on the way at Anne Frank’s house and then sitting by the soothing canals to enjoy a lovely coffee. The capital of Holland is without doubt one of the most beautiful and relaxing cities that I have had the chance to visit, it is highly recommended.
