London Dungeons

Yes, you can tour the dungeons and prisons of old out in London. You can get a glimpse into what life was like for a criminal back in the old days. Spoiler alert, it wasn’t fun. For over a hundred years in London criminals were sent to the dungeons. This is a tour that may not be for the faint of heart because you are also introduced to the punishments that these criminals were subject to.

Jack the Ripper Tour

You’ve heard the stories of Jack, he ran around the streets of London terrorizing women. There are night time tours dedicated to giving you a scary Ripper experience. Right around sunset the tour will commence and take you to all of the spots where murdered women were found and the places Jack was thought to have operated out of. This is a fun tour, but like I said be ready to get some chills.

London Bridge and Tower Bridge

Another couple of staples for visiting London. Every child has heard and probably sung “London Bridge is falling down..” but hopefully you won’t be in too much shock when you see its still standing and in good use. You can walk from one bridge to the other as they are quite close. A good strategy is to walk one and then stop at pub in the water for a pint and some food and then make your way to the next.

Buckingham Palace

You knew this was coming. The mother of all attractions. Buckingham palace is where the royal family have rested their heads for basically ever. If the Royal Standard Flag is flying high in the sky, that means the Queen is home. Keep your eyes peeled for a sighting. Although it probably won’t be hard. She’ll be the older woman surrounded by security and traveling with a motorcade. During certain times of the year you can even tour inside the palace.

Being in London is awesome. What is even cooler about London is how accessible it is. You can get there from most airports in the UK and its easy to get airport parking at Birmingham, parking at Bristol airport, and Luton airport parking. This convenience can make your trip all the better. This was just a short list of London, explore these and more on your trip to this city.
