Go hiking

If you want to get off the beaten path, then literally get off the beaten path! The French Riviera is filled with amazing places to go hiking and explore the natural surroundings. From Nice, you can take the Sentier du Littoral path along the coastline, which will eventually lead you to a quaint fishing village right on the Mediterranean. Or hike to the villages of Gourdon or Eze for a more challenging walk with rewarding views of the sea below.
